Programming for cooperation of top Iran- India Universities

 

For developing academic international cooperation with India a session with top 5 technological universities of the country UT5 was held in KN Toosi University on Dec. 21, 2022.

The session held with the presence of the vice presidents and directors of international affairs of the Iran University of Science and Technology, Amir Kabir University of Technology, KN Toosi University of Technology, and Isfahan University of Technology.

Prof. Kumar from IIT Delhi and Dr. Khalili, Faculty member of KN Toosi and the former scientific advisor of Iran to India introduced the capacities for scientific cooperation between the two countries. Then the attendees discussed the cooperation of the 5 member universities of UT5 and the Indian IIT universities, and it was decided that in the first step, in the fields of mechanical engineering and computer engineering, periodic joint scientific meetings will be held remotely every two weeks in the fields to be announced with the presence of interested professors and students from both sides.

Also, after holding a few elementary sessions, the secretariat of UT5 that is located in the International Vice-Chancellor at IUST should plan to create a calendar for this joint scientific events to host by the members of the UT5 group in turn.

 


The first sessions will be hosted by KN Toosi University and IIT Delhi University.

 It is worth mentioning that the group of top 5 universities of technology of the country (UT5) includes Isfahan University of Technology, Amir Kabir University of Technology Khajah Nasireddin Toosi University of Technology, Sharif University of Technology, and Iran University of Science and Technology, which in addition to cooperation at the national level, cooperate with each other specifically in the direction of synergizing international academic activities

On the other hand, the Indian IIT universities include 23 leading technological universities of India, of which the top 5 universities are in the list of the top 100 universities in Asia and the top 300 universities in the world.
