Performance evaluation of UPQC with superconductivity devices in improving current harmonic and voltage reduction in distribution network
|
Abstract
Increasing electronic equipment such as electronic power converter is one of the serious problems in power systems that use in the industry and domestic consumption more and more. These equipments inject high-frequency current harmonics into the network that according network impedance, voltage harmonics as are applied to different equipments. Also, sensitive loads that need sinusoidal and balanced voltages with the desired range are today increasing. Thus the issue of power quality in power systems has been increasingly important. UPQC is the series-parallel combination of active filters that is known as appropriate device for improving power quality. In this thesis, considers the performance evaluation of UPQC with superconductivity devices such as SFCL and SMES to compensate current harmonics and voltage reduction in power network. First, resistive SFCL performance and UPQC with voltage source structure are considered and then optimization some important parameters are performed using multi-objective optimization based on meta-heuristic method of Simulated Annealing. Moreover combination of UPQC-SMES to provide a new control system for analyzing its effect on voltage reduction in power network is introduced. Finally, the UPQC with current source structure for compensating current harmonics and voltage reduction is provided . Then, current error in dc link is limited using a resistive SFCL. All of the simulations are performed in software PSCAD / EMTDC .
