66- The U.N's "Innovation Award" in Asia-Pacific region was granted to Dr. Ali Akbar Jalali for his work on Rural ICT.

74- Prof Heidar Ali Shayanfar was recognized as the best researcher of the year 2009.He was prised by the chancellor of IUST & deputy of research.
