IUST and five Iraqi universities signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU)

The "Science Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Republic of Iraq" meeting was held with the participation of more than 60 universities of the two countries. The Ferdowsi University of Mashhad hosted this scientific event to foster academic interaction, communication, and international cultural exchange.
During the meeting Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) signed memorandum of understandings with the universities of Diyala, Kerbala, Warith al-Anbiyaa, Mosul, and Basra University for Oil and Gas. The signed MoU establishes a framework for the following key areas of collaboration:
  • Exchanging faculty member for research, instruction, or lecturing purposes
  • Student exchange for academic and scientific purposes
  • Online teaching collaboration
  • Participation in dissertation committees for postgraduate studies
  • Joint research project
  • Participation in scientific conferences
  • Specialized short-term academic programs (such as seminars, webinars, workshops, training programs, and seasonal schools)
  • Sharing of academic material and information
To achieve common objectives, these MoU will leverage the resources and capabilities of both parties, including technology transfer, internationalization of universities, and deepening of previous understandings. As the result, IUST demonstrates its serious commitment to establishing its scientific and cultural authority in regional countries with a focus on Islamic nations.
