IUST has always maintained, as its priority, the scientific and educational collaborations and joint ventures with leading universities and research centers throughout the world. Much progress has been made in this endeavor whereas IUST has developed strong international relations with various educational establishments and has consummated agreements for the exchange of scientific, educational, and technological collaboration. The Office of International and Scientific Cooperation maintains and organizes all international relations relevant to the University. In order to promote the level of education and research, IUST has planned many cooperative programs with the Universities in other countries.

:: IUST hosted the intergovernmental council of road builders ::

During the first week of May 2023, Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) hosted the delegates of the Intergovernmental Council of Road Builders of CIS countries within the framework of the Sixth International Silk Road Meeting.

:: The delegation of St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University of Russia visited the university ::

On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, a delegation from the St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University of Russia, consisting of the International Vice-Rector for International affairs, the Head of international students' office, and a publicist, visited the Iran University of Science and Technology and held a meeting with university officials.

The unfortunate news comes from the severe earthquake in Turkey and Syria in which thousands of People died, injured, or forced to displace. Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) sympathizes with the Syrian students affected by this tragedy and stands with them in this difficult moments.​

For developing academic international cooperation with India a session with top 5 technological universities of the country UT5 was held in KN Toosi University on Dec. 21, 2022.

:: 8th International Conference on Composites, Characterization, Fabrication, and Application (CCFA 8) ::

Presenting theories and interpretations in line with reality in order to advance scientific research and expand technology in the field of composites, characterization of these materials, their construction, and application, has special importance and place among researchers all over the world.
