According to the result of Times Higher Education Ranking 2021, announced in Sept. 2, 2020, Iran University of Science and Technology ranked 501-600 among world universities and ranked 4^th among Iranian universities. IUST was 646 in the past year ranking.
In the THE ranking 2021 more than 1527 universities worldwide and 47 universities from Iran gained world ranking. In the current year IUST stands rank 274 in terms of research index and 417 in terms of education index in the world.
Times Higher Education ranking is announced annually according to 5 criteria of teaching, research, citations, industry income, and international outlook.
