A visit by the secretary general of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation
In order to establish grounds for cooperation between Iran University of Science and Technology and D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, Dr. Seyed Ali-Mohammad Mousavi secretary general of D-8 Organization and Dr. Esmaeel Afshari, Director of Multi-lateral Economical Cooperation at Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented in IUST and visited and had a session with the university authorities on July 7, 2013.
Dr. Montazeri, VC for Research and Technology, Dr. Mirzamohammadi, VC for Administration and Logistics, Dr. Khoramishad, Director of the Office of International and Scientific Cooperation, Dr. Habibnejad, faculty member of the School of Mechanical Engineering, and Dr. Esmaeelzadeh Deputy Director for the Satellite Research Center of IUST attended in the session to discuss the promotion of joint research, scientific, and technical cooperation among the universities of the 8 Islamic countries of D-8 and contribution of IUST .
D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation is an organization consists of 8 Islamic developing countries as: I.R. Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, and Nigeria, established on 15 June, 1997 to enforce the economical cooperation among the member countries.
